Premise: Acclaimed writer and historian Deborah E. Lipstadt must battle a Holocaust denier when he sues her for libel. This true story takes place in late 1990's and depicts the occurrences leading up to the court case and the trial.
Review: Very straightforward movie which closely follows the actual case where Deborah and her publisher spends millions of dollar and years to fight the libel case. Timothy Spall's performance as the cantankerous Holocaust denier was spot on. Both Tom Wilkinson and Rachel Weisz as the protagonist gave good performances. This movie is all dialogue, as it should be and the script i imagine will garner a screenplay nod. Found it incredibly interesting that in British law it is up to the accused to prove their case instead of the other way around in the US.
